Create FTP user

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. With this protocol, you can exchange files easily between a Hipex server and your local environment.

At the moment, there are many FTP clients you can use. FileZilla is one of the most popular FTP clients.

In this article, we explain how you can setup FTP users in Pack.

Create a FTP user

Select desired application

Go to FTP users and select the server on which you want to add a FTP user:

With the ‘app FTP user’ button we bring up the popup where we can create the desired user. Fill in the fields with the desired date and add the user.

You have the option to provide a specific path, it ensures that the users can only enter this folder. The user ‘Hipex’ has only access to the media folder.

Progress

It might take a couple of minutes before the user is added to the server. The current status can be followed in the activity log.

As soon as the user is added, you can log in with the just-created FTP account.
